Cover Supervisor Job Type Full Time, Permanent Location Bottesford, NG13 0AX Salary PPS 8, £24,702 PER ANNUM, PRO RATA TO £21,120 PER ANNUM. The Role The Priory Belvoir Academy is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to join their team and contribute towards the opportunities and experience of their students. The Cover Supervisor will cover lessons for absent teaching colleagues and promote the development and learning of all students. They will liaise with Heads of Department to prepare and deliver programmes of work to groups or individual students. The Cover Supervisor will also support students with special needs and will cover for absent Student Support Assistants, when required. The successful candidate will have good subject and curriculum knowledge and have experience of successfully managing an effective classroom environment to support student learning and positive behaviour. Key Responsibilities Cover lessons for absent teaching colleagues. This includes delivering lessons as prepared by absent colleagues and using lesson plans provided by the department to deliver a lesson. Liaise with subject teachers to assist with lesson delivery; be creative in assisting with the planning and preparation of activities. Support and motivate students within specific lessons. Promote development and learning (physical, emotional, educational and social). Have familiarity with all relevant student information; promote fostering growth, self-esteem and independence. Support all students to follow the Behaviour Policy and policies within the Federation that support the welfare and education of students. Represent and promote The Priory Federation of Academies' values internally and externally. Ensure that the Federations internal customers receive an excellent customer service experience in all dealings with the service. Deliver your day to day duties consistently with the agreed service level. Act as a champion for change and improvement, constantly enhancing quality. Skills and Qualifications GCSE English and Mathematics Grade A-C or equivalent. Level 2 IT qualification/experience or equivalent. Experience of working with students. A knowledge and understanding of student intervention techniques. Experience of supporting groups of students as well as students on a one to one basis. Ability to motivate students, good interpersonal skills. Must accept and actively support the Federations agreed values. A high level of communication skills.
