Title: Chemistry Teacher Location: North Yorkshire Duration: Full-Time, Permanent Reed - Further Education are seeking a Chemistry Lecturer on a full time permanent basis on behalf of a client based in North Yorkshire. The ideal candidate will have taught Chemistry at GCSE, iGCSE and IB Levels. What's the day-to-day responsibilities of a Chemistry Lectuer? To maintain high personal and professional standards whilst carrying out all aspects of the role. To take a share in the collective responsibility of ensuring the school functions safely and effectively, including the supervision of pupils, by carrying out duties in accordance with published schedules. To undertake the role of Form Tutor as and when required and carry out all duties and connected responsibilities, including taking registers in accordance with regulatory requirements, contributing to the PHSE programme and following up on all pastoral and academic concerns for individual pupils in the tutor group. To be aware of the school's policy statements and to comply with their recommendations and procedures. To support the College's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people at the school. To comply with the College's Health and Safety policy and undertake risk assessments as appropriate. To read daily notices and attend staff briefings and other staff meetings and act upon information or arrangements. To attend assemblies when on site. To attend the Parents' Meetings for relevant year groups. To supervise and, when possible, teach any pupils whose teacher is not available to teach them. To participate in and co-operate with, the school's arrangements for performance management and the continuing professional development of teachers. To demonstrate an interest in continuing professional development and educational developments. To communicate effectively in meetings with colleagues, parents, etc. To communicate potentially important information to Form Tutors, Heads of Tier or the Assistant Heads What are the required skills and qualifications needed for this role? Ability to plan, deliver and assess quality teaching across identified modules/units. Teaching Qualification Ability to inspire and motivate learners to achieve their optimum Exceptional verbal /written communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of current teaching practices and experience of utilising a range of teaching practices to enhance learner journey and progression Exceptional verbal /written communication and interpersonal skills IT literate including knowledge of coding/programming. We are currently looking for a skilled and competent Electrician with a productive, innovative, and co-operative approach to work to join our Shops Maintenance team. As the maintenance electrician, you will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and machinery in our shops; your responsibilities will include repairing appliances in our stores. You will play a crucial part in enhancing the condition of facilities and equipment, minimizing costly breakdowns, and contributing to the development of strategies aimed at improving the overall reliability of shop equipment. To assist you in completing this task, a company van will be provided. Role Duties: Develop maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods. Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults. Diagnose and rectify breakdown problems. Order and fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly. Carry out preventative maintenance inspections. Ability to deal with emergencies, breakdowns, and repairs. Work collaboratively with the Shop Maintenance Manager to improve health & safety. Ensure clear updates and communications with Shop Maintenance Manager. Candidate Requirements Clean driving license You must have a minimum 18th edition Ability to prioritise and organize workload. Ability to carry out planned works alongside breakdowns, managing time effectively under pressure. and communicate effectively with colleagues. Excellent communication skills.
