Structural Engineerduties and responsibilities
To carry out structural design and assessments of Building, Highway and Maritime assets in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.

You will also support other team members of the in-house Engineering team with design and delivery of development and maintenance projects.
You will be working with a team of in-house Asset Inspectors assisting with the management & implementation of the structural inspection regime in line with legislative requirements and/or best practice taking cognisance of structural form, type, condition and use ensuring the assets remain safe for operation.
You will assist in overseeing the structural inspection regime, reporting on inspection findings, and applying your critical judgement to recommend an efficient programme of maintenance and repairs.
You will work on a broad range of civil engineering and structural assets, from landside assets such as bridges and roadways, to marine assets such as piers, quays and breakwaters.
You will be part of a team responsible for acting as internal consultants to the rest of the Engineering department and the wider business, reviewing designs and specifications to ensure they are aligned to statutory and best practice approaches.
You will oversee a programme of condition inspections, reporting on inspection findings, and applying your critical judgement to plan an efficient programme of maintenance and repairs that push forward the sustainability agenda.
Chartered Structural Engineer Position Requirements

The ideal candidate will have strong client facing skills, a minimum or 6-7 years' experience and preferably be Chartered, if not, have a desire to become Chartered with which the company will assist.
