Senior Pensions Consultant Are you interested in working on a close-knit, collaborative and knowledgeable actuarial team? What the day will look like You will have sufficient experience and expertise to be assigned a portfolio of clients where you are a lead consultant and client manager on some clients and the potential to lead on other clients over time. If you are a qualified actuary then you will be providing actuarial support also to our clients. You will be a role model to colleagues, leading and implementing ideas for your clients. Clients Advising companies on strategic pensions issues. Leading relationships with clients, with accountability for running client accounts and managing delivery of other service lines and for developing those relationships, for example through introducing additional services appropriate to each individual client. Responsible for the retention and growth of revenue on your clients with a proven track record of revenue growth, improved profitability and efficiency. Take our latest ideas to clients as appropriate; be comfortable consulting with technology Supporting our Partners and Principal Consultants in serving their clients and developing those relationships; formulating advice on those clients with minor input needed from those consultants. Taking responsibility and directing/project managing large projects Taking overall responsibility for the quality of technical work delivered to clients, including shaping and reviewing work from support teams as required Networking and helping to secure new business within the local market Colleagues Coach, mentor and nurture colleagues to take on more responsibility; supporting colleagues to develop and grow, adding value to their clients. Taking on a people manager role, where appropriate. Be a role model in developing other colleagues, both on your client teams and more widely. Skills and experience that will lead to success Relevant experience in the UK pensions consulting environment advising companies on strategic pensions issues. Strong technical, commercial and consulting skills. Track record in leading client relationships and supporting Partners/Principals with clients. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable in leading discussions with Trustees, Company representatives and Pensions Managers. Self-motivating and ambitious Able to encourage and develop other colleagues, and work well within diverse teams Whilst having an eye for detail, also capable in advising at a strategic level Confident in expressing your viewpoint, both with colleagues and clients. You are likely to have a degree and a relevant Professional qualification (e.g. APMI, FIA) with sufficient post qualification experience.
