Role Overview We are looking for a Principal Sustainability Consultant on a fixed term contract to provide maternity cover. The role will involve leading on projects, client relationships and business development in relation to sustainability reporting, data management, performance management and ESG advisory to our clients' real estate portfolios, working with landlords, occupiers, surveyors and site teams to lead on strategic deliverables. Key Responsibilities The principle deliverables will be to provide sustainability data, reporting and ESG advisory to our clients' real estate portfolios, working with clients and colleagues to lead on strategic deliverables and grow strong client relationships. The successful candidate should have a holistic knowledge of sustainability and wider environmental, social and governance issues for both the built environment and broader corporate contexts. This should ideally include experience in sustainability strategy, policy, reporting, data management, net zero, GHG accounting, Scope 3, environmental management, waste initiatives, ISO management systems, behaviour change, sustainable procurement, and sustainability compliance. An experienced Principal Sustainability Consultant is required to provide services including but not limited to; Lead and drive sustainability consultancy growth with a broad base of investor and occupier clients. Provide sustainability data, reporting and broader ESG expertise across the full range of Savills skill lines including occupier, investor and sector specific markets. Manage, drive, coordinate and champion new innovations in sustainability projects which may include sustainability reporting, data management, template development, process improvements, quality and accuracy improvements etc. Support clients to develop bespoke sustainability strategies, data management frameworks, GHG accounting and sustainability reports. Provide general sustainability support to clients which may include strategic sustainability advice, environmental legislation and compliance audits, sustainability reporting & disclosure, tenant engagement, ISO14001 & ISO50001, EPC/EPC Plus & MEES risk review, WELL Standard / wider Health & Wellbeing, waste management etc. Key Skills Customer orientated ability to be client facing; excellent communicator and presenter. Ability to develop lasting and effective relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally. Strong attention to detail and produces work to a high, consistent and accurate standard.
