Research & Insights Assistant Salary: £230 per day Location: Brighton, UK Job Type: Temporary Full-time (36.5 hours per week) Contract Duration: June 17 - July 31, 2024 My client, a Business School in Sussex, are seeking a Research & Insights Assistant to contribute to a pioneering project in collaboration with Plant Futures and the plant-based foods sector. This role is ideal for someone with a background in economics, marketing, business studies, statistics, or a related field, who is adept at using data to generate actionable insights. Day-to-day of the role: Update and enhance previous charts and analysis, ensuring conclusions are current and visualisations are improved. Conduct in-depth analysis of data tables and factor analysis to extract additional insights. Perform new statistical analysis from raw data, exploring various hypotheses and questions. Translate complex analysis into clear, compelling charts and presentations that resonate with non-data literate audiences. Collaborate with the Plant Futures team, sharing work progress and outputs regularly. Potentially produce and publish a paper on the findings, subject to meeting core deliverables for Plant Futures. Required Skills & Qualifications: PhD (completed or near completion) in economics, marketing, business studies, statistics, or a related field. Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods. Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, conditional formatting, sorting, filtering, and formulas. Excellent presentation skills, including PowerPoint and data visualisation.
