Your Impact Own the design and implementation of next-generation electronic sensor systems, controllers, and power modules Assist in taking ownership of electronics architecture, testing, and test rigs Instrument and analyse system performance. Develop system tests and integration tests, testing functionality on simulators and hardware platforms Evaluate alternative concepts, designs, and components Participate in team-wide architecture reviews As an Electronics Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and building our electronics platform that supports our autonomous robotics system. You will work with our Mechanical, Software, and Embedded teams to design, implement, and test the electronics that power our robots to provide the features, performance, and safety the platform requires. Role: We are seeking a skilled and innovative Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and optimising power electronics systems specifically tailored for low voltage but high current battery-powered applications. This role will involve working on various aspects of high current DC power systems and other related components, with a focus on efficiency, reliability, and performance. Responsibilities: Design and develop power electronics systems to control, switch, and manage high-power components of our system. Utilise simulation tools for circuit analysis and optimisation to achieve high efficiency and reliability. Select suitable components, including power semiconductors, passive components, and magnetics, considering the specific requirements and constraints of our electrical systems. Design multilayer PCBs (6) with a focus on thermal management, compactness, and manufacturability in mind. Prototype, build, and test power electronics hardware, conducting rigorous functional tests, reliability assessments, and performance evaluations. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and firmware engineers, to integrate power electronics systems into our products or systems.
