We're seeking a dedicated Payroll Associate to join as a Sole Payroller and ensure all payrolls are completed accurately and within multiple payroll cycles Responsibilities: Processing end to end client payroll in a busy team. Manage your own portfolio of complex clients. Statutory payments - Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity Pay, PAYE and National Insurance etc. Processing of Year-End procedures. Provide 1st line support for payroll queries. Liaise with HMRC when required. Process Tax Code changes. Manual calculations. Experience using Excel for data input / management. Producing reports. Assist with any ad-hoc duties as required by the department. Experience Minimum of two years' experience within an accountancy practice processing client based payroll Strong start to finish experience. Can work towards tight deadlines and handle pressure. Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with group accounting policies and the relevant statutory accounting standards Monthly analysis and review of variances actuals vs budget/forecast Preparation of monthly management accounts aligned to agreed timeline for divisional and group close VAT and sales tax reporting Preparation of information for tax returns Oversee payment runs, ensuring timely and accurate payments Reconciling key balance sheet accounts Providing project assistance for implementing new systems and processes Ad hoc reports and analysis Contact for external audit deliverables at half year and year end Requirement to travel to other sites across the group as necessary Requirements: ACCA/CIMA/ACA Fully qualified with relevant experience Demonstrates a high degree of attention to detail with the ability to self-review and error-check work for accuracy Possesses highly developed problem-solving abilities and organisational skills Competent user of MS Excel Exhibits excellent numerical and communication skills Functions as a team player, ready to support others Please put your home postcode on your CV when applying.
