Buying & Merchandising Admin Assistant Salary: £22,000p.a Location: Dorking - Hybrid (3 days in the office) Our client is seeking an entry level candidate to provide administrative support to the Buying & Merchandising team. You will be responsible for all administrative duties related to the buying and merchandising functions. Reporting to the Assistant Merchandiser. This is a key role within the team and will expose the candidate to all elements of the buying and merchandising functions. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities Buying Support the Assistant Buyer/Buyers where needed and deputise in their absence Set up new products on orderwise from information provided by the buying team on range plans/new line forms Raise orders and track delivery for new lines as required Manage the domestic samples in the sample room & run bi-annual sample sales for staff Collect samples from the post room for the Buying team, unpack and dispose of boxes/tissues/bubble wrap and highlight to buying team Merchandising Support the Assistant Merchandiser where needed and deputise in their absence Raise orders for repeat lines/replen Import levels, tickets and price changes as required Update the Delivery Schedule Create and distribute daily sales reports Work closely with the Warehouse to resolve any inbound / outbound issues that may arise Data sweeps to catch missing data and rectify Both Quarterly store visits and feedback to the buying team Build and maintain effective working relationship with suppliers, be the first point of contact for the B&M team General admin duties for the team as required Key Skills Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Great attention to detail Proactive, flexible and have a positive attitude Experience with excel is preferred Retail experience preferable but not required
Assistant Merchandiser Salary: Up to £28k (dependant on experience) Location: Dorking - Hybrid working (3 days in office) Our client is seeking a highly analytical, data driven candidate to join their Merchandising team to support the Merchandiser with planning and trading to maximise profit and minimise markdown. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities Allocations Reviewing trade at line level and adjusting allocation levels accordingly to maximise the stock Utilising our stock management system to best meet sales demand and work with the warehouse to ensure they can pick in the most efficient way Analysis of store performance and stock holding, reviewing store grading and depth requirements. Reporting & Trading Production of weekly reporting, trade packs, category analysis and event reporting. Participate in Monday trade meeting. Present in the trading meeting in the absence of the merchandiser. Reviewing product performance and identifying trading opportunities and threats under guidance of merchandiser Execute in store promotional activity - pricing, POS, tickets and effective communication Intake New and repeat order quantities and weekly replenishment requirements. Using the WSSI as a planning and forecasting tool under the guidance of the merchandiser. Overseeing intake and ensuring the system and delivery schedule are updated with the most accurate information Build and maintain effective working relationship with suppliers Notify the team of issues with intake, invoicing or compliance and support the warehouse with queries Other Responsibilities Work closely with the buying team to help successfully manage the range in line with the critical path.
