Adecco's Property services division north is currently looking for a permanent Repairs Surveyor to join an amazing client's team based in Leeds. Our client is a leading Housing provider, dedicated to delivering exceptional property services to their customers . Purpose As a Repairs Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in delivering repairs and maintenance services to a diverse range of properties. Your responsibilities will include conducting surveys, producing detailed schedules of work, and overseeing the execution of repairs projects. You will have the opportunity to work closely with customers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that all repairs are completed to the highest standard. Duties and expectations Will be responsible for inspecting homes, identifying necessary repairs, and ensuring that work is carried out to a high standard. Using Nat Fed - SOR rates when raising orders - all orders are raised electronically via an I-pad using an in house custom built Housing Management system. Attend to Pre inspect works required / reported by the housing officer or customer - ordering works electronically via an Ipad using SOR codes, asking for quotations etc Post inspecting works completed - challenging contractors on standard of works and re calling if necessary. Identify issues within each property, providing a solution to each issue. Monitor & co-ordinate contractors on site. Ensure specifications are correctly adhered too. Keep administration, database and relevant teams updated. Repairs Surveyor £37,500 Harrogate, HG2 The Role Do you possess previous experience diagnosing and managing repairs of residential properties? Can you manage repairs effectively, keeping costs in check whilst ensuring tenant satisfaction? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. As a Repairs Surveyor at Harrogate Housing Association, you'll be pivotal in providing exemplary property management services that align with our ethos: Local, Approachable, and Tenant Focussed. Your mission will be to efficiently oversee the execution of repairs, ensuring they are both economically viable and up to the exceptional standards our tenants deserve. The role demands you to be adaptable and open to change, as well as do any additional activities within the scope of the function that may be assigned to you from time to time. The Person HNC/HND Building or Construction. An understanding and experience of diagnosing and managing repairs to residential property. Experience and track record of managing external contractors. An understanding of the Asset Management process/planning/surveying/component accounting. Experience of undertaking administrative tasks to a high level of accuracy and quality. Good knowledge of computerised systems, ideally obtained in a housing association setting, and financial modelling. Knowledge of procurement processes and legal framework in which to operate. HHSRS knowledge and understanding and its practical application. Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrates empathy and is effective at managing relationships.
