Please note: A full valid driving license is required for this role Working Hours: 7.30 - 17.00 Monday to Friday Location: Unit F, Kennetside Ind Est, Newbury, RG14 5PX Key Responsibilities: Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions in line with our JPS values Develop great relationships with new and existing customers (both face to face and over the phone), understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise delivery times, manage stock control and keep customers updated throughout their journey Pick and prepare customer orders in our warehouse and load onto customer and delivery vehicles Act as a relief driver for the branch, performing deliveries to our customers when needed in a 3.5t van Keep the branch and yard/warehouse looking clean and tidy, to make a great first impression on our customers Maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement Required Skills and Experience A full, manual driving license, held for a minimum of 1 year Previous industry experience preferred but not essential Experience in a customer facing environment IT literate and a strong communicator Passion for working with people with a positive can-do attitude What's in it for you? Fire Door Joiner Permanent £38-39,000/annum plus package Our client require 2x experienced joiners to carry out a first-class passive fire safety service to commercial buildings in the South of England - as far east as Penzance and as far east as Southend Duties could include any associated joinery works including installation of new fire door sets and remedial repairs/maintenance of existing fire doors. It is likely you will always be working alongside at least 1 other joiner to carry out these works. The successful applicant will have a proven track record of delivering a similar service and ideally have either FIRAS or BMTRADA accreditation. While these accreditations aren't a pre-requisite for the job, the successful applicant will have a sound technical and working knowledge of current legislation and fire door tolerances. A van will be provided and as such, a full clean licence is essential. Any parking will be pre-booked by the company and congestion charges also covered. Overnight accommodation and food allowance will also be covered for any time spent working away from home. Applicants for this role will need to appreciate that although outputs aren't very high (typically 1 door set per day between 2 men) there is likley to be a lot of time spent travelling. You must therefore be willing to work away from hoime as required due to the size of the geographical area covered. Applicants close to the M4 corridor would be ideal but this is not essential. You will have a valid CSCS card and all relevant tools and PPE. The successful applicants must be available to start as soon as possible.
