A well-established business that provides supported housing for the elderly is looking for a Catering Manager on a 6-month fixed term contract based in Croydon. You will take responsibility for the catering service at 3 care homes, 3 day centres and 1 extra care scheme. This includes breakfast, lunch and evening meal, 7 days per week. You will be working 35 hours per week and will receive a pro rata salary of £33,000 - £35,000. As Catering Manager, your responsibilities will include: Managing 4 chefs and being responsible for 30 staff. Ensuring that all meals are freshly prepared to meet contractual requirements Ensuring that service delivery times are met and daily menus are correctly displayed. Ensuring all KPIs are met Ensuring that any service delivery complaints are responded to Meeting with the House Mangers regularly to discuss menus and agree any themed meals for the month. Authorising food invoices Ensuring that all homes have the correct stock of crockery and cutlery Taking responsibilities for catering survey and actions We're looking for a Catering Manager with: Experience managing a catering service/team, ideally in a care home Experience of planning menus that cater to specific dietary needs, including modified textures.
