We're on the lookout for an enthusiastic and capable General Manager to help run our two cafes in Hackney & Stoke Newington. In this role, you'll be tasked with overseeing the day-to-day workings of WAVE, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional customer experiences across all locations. From managing staff and budgets to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and service, you'll play a vital role in shaping the success and trajectory of our cafes. We're seeking a thoughtful leader and decision-maker who can inspire and guide our team towards productivity and excellence. Your knack for organization and ability to juggle multiple tasks will be essential, particularly as we expand. Responsibilities: Overseeing day-to-day operations, including weekly stock takes and addressing customer and employee challenges promptly. Managing staff rotas. Managing expenses, company margins and COGS. Maintaining cleanliness and standards across both cafes, with a keen eye on suggesting menu adjustments to enhance customer flow. Efficiently managing inventory, ordering, and receiving products while optimizing expenses within budget constraints. Cultivating a motivated and productive team through effective leadership, training, and professional development initiatives. Implementing policies and processes to streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency. Conducting recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to uphold high standards of service and professionalism. Monitoring business health and safety protocols and providing solutions to address any issues that may arise. Experience with the following is advantageous: Epos system: The Good Till Food and beverage management: Rekki Scheduling & HR systems: Deputy Bookkeeping, maintaining records: Pleo Stock take: Jelly Kitchen Qualifications: Minimum 1 year General Manager experience. Hold Level 3 food safety certificate. Hold a Personal Licence for serving alcohol (we can provide this). Pay and perks: £31k - £35k annually Training opportunities, with all expenses covered.
