The Role Are you a recent Engineering Graduate, keen to develop your career? Joining our team as our Graduate Engineer, you will support the implementation and reporting of engineering matters to meet the region's business plan and future growth requirements. Key duties and requirements You will also be responsible for but not limited to; Providing support to the wider technical team including the Architectural and Planning divisions. Assisting with internal processes from bid stage through to site completion. Instructing technical reports and designs as required, to support site applications and consents. Reviewing all designs submitted by external consultants to ensure compliance with Group policy. Assisting with in-house civils designs and any architectural support required i.e. enhancing presentation through Photoshop or similar. Supporting in the management of all engineering requirements as per Group policies and processes. Assisting in the process of determining, agreeing and delivering site start and development programmes within agreed timescales. Assisting in the production of key status reports and providing updates on all KPIs relating to the engineering and technical function. Effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders. Assisting with utility services/supplier enquiries, quotations, acceptances and approvals. Assisting with the management of CDM-C/Health & Safety responsibilities on all developments. Assisting in the delivery of effective and relevant legal documentation for each development or phase of development. Comply with Group product, specification and deals. Who are we looking for? To be successful as our Graduate Engineer, you will be a recent Graduate with a relevant engineering qualification along with possessing excellent communication and relationship building skills. Reporting to the Head of Technical, you will be driven, enthusiastic and keen to develop your skills and knowledge within the housebuilding field. You will also possess; A basic understanding of Engineering within housebuilding/construction. Basic technical knowledge and commercial awareness Excellent IT skills including working knowledge of CAD. The ability to work under your own initiative and manage time effectively. A flexible and adaptable approach to changing requirements. Awareness of codes of practice that impact on technical matters e.g. Planning policy, Building Regulations, NHBC requirements, HSE etc. Excellent verbal and written communication. Our client, as part of their ongoing expansion, is looking for an engineer, based in the South West to work in a home based capacity, focusing on the installation, maintenance and servicing of their access control products on client sites. The successful candidate will have a broad engineering background covering electrical and mechanical elements primarily, and an understanding of the specifics of Automatic Gates/Barriers and Roller Shutters. They have a diverse product set, so provided you have a good understanding of some of their products, full training will be given on the others. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate some or all of the following: - Proven experience of Automatic Gate / Door / Barrier / Shutter / Turnstile / Bollard or wider Access Control engineering Great problem solving skills A Broad electrical / mechanical skillset Full driving licence CSCS / SSSTS ideal Good customer and time management skills ADSA / DHF Qualifications would be a benefit Package includes on-call (on average 1 week in 10 - £250 supplement), Overtime (plenty available) paid at 1.5x for evenings and 2x for nights. Travel time to jobs is paid. There is a £2.5k initial bonus based on your record keeping. Brand new van fully kitted out and private mileage included.
