LONDON UP TO £200,000 % OF BOOK An established and growing Commodity Hedge Fund based in Mayfair, London with over $150 million AUM,is seeking to recruit an Oil Derivatives Trader to bolster its expanding Commodity Trading desk and Operations teams. Overview: The Oil Trader (Derivatives) will play a pivotal role in executing and managing derivatives trading activities in the oil market. Operating within a fast-paced and competitive environment, the trader will utilize their expertise to capitalize on market opportunities, manage risks, and deliver profitable outcomes for the company. The firm has recently experienced a surge in Assets Under Management (AUM), onboarded new Portfolio Managers (PMs) and Traders, and is now seeking a high level Trader. Hybrid, or full time in the office in Mayfair 150 AUM worth of trading last year 1m of VAR to trade with Good risk levels Only cost is the desk cost which is $250k or less a year - they pay for all platforms for Traders (if you don't use all the platforms then you pay less desk cost) Across the barrel trading in all areas of Oil Essential criteria Current OIL DERIVATIVES Book to be £5m (not for a team but individual billing)] Can work Remotely and go to Mayfair Office once per month OR can be in the Mayfair Office every day ! Experience in Oil Derivatives only, not Derivatives off the back of physical trading.
LONDON - Hybrid Salary Negotiable Junior Trader You will be working in the Metals Trading Division of a Global Trading Company. They trade Iron Ore, Metallic, Met Coal and Met Coke The main purpose of Junior Trader is to maintain the existing business of Met Coke Trading business as well as to develop the iron ore business and maximize global trading profit. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Trading and Trade Administration Maintain existing business and expand the trading. Maintain relationships with existing suppliers/customers/brokers. Ensure smooth operations in accordance with the contract. Support other offices creating/amending contracts. Create new form/structure of trading including tolling, STF, etc. Capture and bridge trading opportunities. Analyze and manage risks (market, credit, legal, tax, etc.). Develop business of other ferrous raw materials (e.g., iron ore, coal) in collaboration with other traders. Regularly check reports/publications/announcements, analyze, make presentations if required, and share such information with people concerned. Liaise with Risk Management Department (RMD) / Middle Office and proactively monitor credit risk among suppliers/customers by continuously having direct communication with their management. Prepare credit line applications liaising with RMD and Middle Office. Monitor Sales/Purchase credit lines and warehouse credit lines to avoid exceeding limits. Support Middle Office Follow up overdue payments liaising with Back Office. Contract Management Liaise with LCD/Middle Office upon drafting/negotiating contracts. Prepare various types of contractual documents, including guarantee agreements, consignment agreements, notation agreements, termination agreements, etc. Check the language of parent/bank guarantee and monitor expiry of such parent/bank guarantee. Compile supporting records/documents required for internal control procedures.. Compliances Ensure all activities comply with all corporate internal rule/policies/guidelines. Ensure all relevant regulations, laws and taxes are adhered to and met. Liaise with Corporate departments and resolve various issued related to Anti-money Laundering including Know Your Customer(KYC), Security Trade control, Reach, AEO, VAT&TAX and Accounting. ESSENTIAL Experience and understanding of working within commodities, preferably ferrous raw materials. Front office experience, preferably to include trading. Advanced analytical and numerical competency. Strong multi-tasking skills and able to priorities tasks. Team player who is also able to work independently without direct supervision. Professional written and verbal English language skills. Manages multiple work tasks within deadlines and to required standard. High standard of accuracy and attention to detail. Microsoft office skills to intermediate level. Educated to degree level in a relevant subject. DESIRABLE Network in Ferrous raw materials industry. Knowledge of financing transactions. Knowledge of warehouse operation and logistic operation Experience of issuing/checking contracts and trading documentation. Experience in FRM trading including hedging.
