Your new role As a Trading Operations Specialist (green energy), you will be working closely alongside the trading team to review and validate all seller and trader transactions on a daily basis against Trader recap/Broker recap. You will be responsible for resolving any and all trade discrepancies as well as generating, reviewing and sending the various sales confirmations. You will liaise closely with a variety of business partners, team members and management on a daily basis. You will utilise the ETRM system to run daily trade reports. What you'll need to succeed You will need to have previous experience within a similar back office/operations role - dealing specifically with green energy, such as EUA, UKAs, VERs and EAC. You should be highly organised and adept at managing your own time and workload effectively within a fast-paced environment. You should be highly analytical with an ability to effectively solve problems. What you'll get in return You will receive an annual base salary of up to £60,000 p/a alongside a discretionary 10% bonus. LONDON - Hybrid You will be working in the Metals Trading Division of a Global Trading Company. They trade Iron Ore, Metallic, Met Coal and Met Coke The main purpose of Junior Trader is to maintain the existing business of Met Coke Trading business as well as to develop the iron ore business and maximize global trading profit. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Trading and Trade Administration Maintain existing business and expand the trading. Maintain relationships with existing suppliers/customers/brokers. Ensure smooth operations in accordance with the contract. Support other offices creating/amending contracts. Create new form/structure of trading including tolling, STF, etc. Capture and bridge trading opportunities. Analyze and manage risks (market, credit, legal, tax, etc.). Develop business of other ferrous raw materials (e.g., iron ore, coal) in collaboration with other traders. Regularly check reports/publications/announcements, analyze, make presentations if required, and share such information with people concerned. Liaise with Risk Management Department (RMD) / Middle Office and proactively monitor credit risk among suppliers/customers by continuously having direct communication with their management. Prepare credit line applications liaising with RMD and Middle Office. Monitor Sales/Purchase credit lines and warehouse credit lines to avoid exceeding limits. Support Middle Office Follow up overdue payments liaising with Back Office. Contract Management Liaise with LCD/Middle Office upon drafting/negotiating contracts. Prepare various types of contractual documents, including guarantee agreements, consignment agreements, notation agreements, termination agreements, etc. Check the language of parent/bank guarantee and monitor expiry of such parent/bank guarantee. ESSENTIAL Experience and understanding of working within commodities, preferably ferrous raw materials. Front office experience, preferably to include trading. Advanced analytical and numerical competency. Strong multi-tasking skills and able to priorities tasks. Team player who is also able to work independently without direct supervision. Professional written and verbal English language skills. Manages multiple work tasks within deadlines and to required standard. High standard of accuracy and attention to detail. Microsoft office skills to intermediate level. Educated to degree level in a relevant subject. DESIRABLE Network in Ferrous raw materials industry. Knowledge of financing transactions. Knowledge of warehouse operation and logistic operation Experience of issuing/checking contracts and trading documentation. Experience in FRM trading including hedging.
