Recruiting for an Operations Manager with the following responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse team including assembly and dispatch of customer orders and receipt of deliveries from suppliers. Manage and lead Goods inwards and transport team. Maintain high standards of Health and Safety compliance. Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed for PPE and Packaging. KPI setting, setting daily targets and managing performance through Management Performance process for all colleagues. Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to in line with company settings, with colleague engagement, ensuring compliance to SOP's and procedures to develop best practice, whilst driving efficiency, safety and hygiene standards. Planning and adjusting colleague resource levels to meet daily/weekly operational needs. Manage all Disciplinary, HR, Health and Safety, Grievance in line with all Company policies. Constant review of all Operational activities, to improve both cost and customer service to continue success for the organisation. Managing Transport workload, from drivers to cross dock/trunking, planning routes and efficient cost control. As the Transport Operations Supervisor your typical duties will include: Daily operations, including liaising, if required, with customers. Routing, using the Merlin system, and Max Optra to assist with routing. Carrying out daily driver de-briefs, ensuring any non-compliance is reported & acting on these defects. Managing driver risk profile and identifying and supporting driver training needs. Accident investigation and management. Licence checking and ensuring driver and vehicles are legally compliant. Ensuring driver and vehicle compliance in terms of WTD regulations, planned maintenance and inspections. Supporting the Operations Manager to ensure KPI's and budgetary targets are met. The successful Transport Operations Supervisor: Relevant experience gained in a fast-paced role. Experience of routing and scheduling of both vehicles and drivers using software. Confident communication skills, happy to speak with customers as required. Competent in MS Office, ability to learn new software and systems. A natural problem solver with excellent attention to detail. Ability to work with Warehouse & Customer Service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
