You will have regular catch ups with your manager to ensure they can support you every step of the way. What is the role of a Graduate Recruitment Consultant? As a Graduate Recruitment Consultant, you are a salesperson, selling your services to both candidates and clients. Your candidates are your product, so you will also sell their profile to your clients. The responsibilities include: Developing strong relationships with candidates and clients. They need to be able to trust you as you support big decisions in their careers/ businesses. Creating job adverts to attract suitable candidates. Screening potential candidates who send their CV through. Sourcing candidates through headhunting and networking. Not every candidate is going to be actively looking for a new role, so you need to persuade them to take the next step in their career. Cold calling businesses to convince them to hire through you and your company. Handling rejections from businesses and candidates. Negotiating terms of business. Taking detailed briefs from clients about their ideal candidate. Aligning diaries between candidates and clients to arrange interviews. Delivering positive and negative feedback to both parties. Managing the process, including any pushbacks you may face. Throughout the process, a lot can go wrong before it goes right.
