We are collaborating with our client in Northampton, who is seeking an Accounts Manager to assist a variety of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. Keys duties include: Supervise and guide the staff in the accounts team Manage workflow procedures related to account preparation, ensuring the team maintains consistently high standards Coordinate incoming tasks to align internal resources with client deadlines, identifying resource shortages in advance and suggesting solutions to address workload demands Review and oversee statutory account preparation (primarily FRS102, FRS102 1A, and FRS105) using both digital and manual records Report directly to Partners, resolving issues and communicating key observations for client interactions Collaborate with senior team members to liaise with clients, planning projects efficiently and securing necessary documentation Manage assigned account tasks specifically Prepare and review corporation tax calculations and submissions What they look for in a candidate You will be ACCA or ACA qualified and have gained strong UK practice experience over 4-5 years post-qualification. You'll have previous experience in supervising teams, with a deep understanding of UK GAAP. You'll possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and client management skills, enabling you to produce high-quality work in fast-paced environments. As a team player, you maintain a positive, can-do attitude that contributes to a collaborative atmosphere. Your strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, allow you to quickly adapt to new software. You consistently create a positive impression on clients and colleagues alike.
