We are seeking a contract SharePoint Specialist with a strong background in records management to lead the technical design of our SharePoint solution. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in setting up document and records libraries in SharePoint Online, as well as a deep understanding of retention and disposal schedules/policies to ensure compliance with records management standards. Day-to-day of the role: Lead the technical design and setup of SharePoint Online document and records libraries. Interpret and apply retention and disposal schedules/policies within the SharePoint environment. Ensure the new system complies with records management standards. Develop and implement naming conventions and access controls. Migrate records from network file shares and on-prem SharePoint sites to SharePoint Online. Collaborate with the IT team to ensure a seamless transition and user adoption. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in setting up SharePoint Online for first-time use. Practical experience in migrating records from network file shares and on-prem SharePoint sites. Theoretical records management or archiving expertise. Specialist knowledge of naming conventions and access controls in a SharePoint context. Ability to interpret and apply retention and disposal schedules/policies.
