Depending on the role you may need skills and experience to undertake safeguarding investigations and develop and implement protection plans; and to assess risk and implement risk management plans. In the Development and Reviewing of services there will be a specific focus on working in partnership with colleagues across all Care Management Teams, Working Age Adults Contracts and Commissioning and a range of provider organisations to achieve 'value for money' through robust assessment and analysis. You will be fully supported in this work by your manager, the wider management team and the experienced safeguarding and risk managers who will offer some joint work as well as being available for consultation. In Transitions in addition to the above you would have the opportunity and skills to work with young people aged 14-25 years; having an understanding of child development issues and the ability to form relationships with young people and their families. Additionally a basic knowledge of child safeguarding thresholds, Children and families Act and education and health care plans. All to contribute to a smooth transition into adulthood and adult service.
