THE ROLE Picking and packing goods in a fast-paced warehouse environment Physical activity including lifting, walking, handling stock Picking stock off shelves from a picking sheet Putting stock away onto shelves using a put away sheet THE PERSON You will be physically fit, have the ability to lift and handle stock. Experience packing in a manufacturing environment Flexible to undertake additional duties such as Warehousing or Quality disciplines. Working on dayshift initially with a view to moving onto a 2 or 3-shift rotation, this person must have at least 1 years' experience of working in a parts inspection environment, ideally within an engineering business (not essential). The role requires the post holder to inspect a wide variety of manufactured product, using handheld measuring equipment, vision systems and other associated inspection equipment, support production in identifying issues, work to standard operating sheets as well as engineering drawings and specification sheets. Candidates need to communicate well at a variety of levels (excellent listening skills, verbal, written), have good analytical and problem-solving skills, be self-motivated with the ability to work with limited supervision, capabe of understanding specifications and drawings, understand all measuring equipment within the department (including micrometres, verniers, height gauges, screw measuring equipment and use of Vision systems). Days 8am-5pm 2 Shift 6am-2:30pm / 2:30pm-11pm
Quality Engineer required to support ongoing project The primary role involves working closely with Document Control personnel to investigate and resolve issues of non-conformance in legacy products or processes. This involves generating documentation related to Field Change Requests (FCR) and Requests for Information (RFI). The secondary function is to provide support to the engineering and production teams during shop floor meetings, acting as the main point of contact for quality-related issues and concerns. The goal is to support the teams in improving product quality and reducing the potential for product rework. This involves supporting the development of process documentation, such as build plans and Inspection and Test Plans. The role requires a solid understanding of engineering drawings, welding, NDT techniques, document control, and the associated quality functions.
