The ideal candidate will ideally have worked within a similar manufacturing environment, a hands on engineer that will get stuck in and work effectively within a small team Role Description Key Responsibilities: Working with Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Overhaul, repair, and refurbish existing plant machinery and ancillary equipment in the on-site maintenance workshop, in line with safe engineering practices and to maximise optimum costs. Weld, grind, use a miller, lathe, and most engineering equipment. Perform installation work and/or liaise with outside contractors. Work to planned schedules to perform planned preventative maintenance activities in line engineering practices in a safe and productive manner. Through utilisation of the PPM system ensure engineering spares and inventory on site are managed and equipment downtime in minimised. Ensure clear and concise records are maintained. Fault find and perform reactive maintenance at short notice. Look to continuously improve in all areas such as Health and Safety and optimisation of production output. Plan, monitor and manage outside use of contractors for specialised maintenance requirements.
