The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting audits, producing written reports, and ensuring the company's policies and procedures adhere to FCA principles and regulations. The Role The successful candidate will undertake audits of the company's policies and procedures, generate written reports, and ensure compliance with FCA principles and regulations. This role requires in-depth knowledge of auditing and compliance monitoring, along with excellent communication and analytical skills. Key Responsibilities: Conduct planned, scheduled audits of all relevant policies and other controls applicable to the company, its network of appointed representatives, and funeral directors appointed to carry out funerals under funeral plan contracts. Develop and document audit manuals, audit schedules, audit scoping documents, audit reports, and other governance and compliance evidence. Perform sampling of relevant processes where auditing is not applicable and provide management information (MI) as needed to the Head of Regulation, Compliance, and Risk Committee. Assist the Head of Regulation in developing audit schedules and compliance monitoring programmes. Collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders to execute audits according to published schedules and related monitoring programmes. Required Knowledge and Experience for the Internal Auditor Role: Demonstrable previous experience in similar responsibilities, preferably within an FCA-regulated business. Prior experience in audit governance, including the creation and maintenance of audit manuals and associated audit records. Proficiency in literacy, analytical, and reporting skills to professionally fulfil responsibilities for intended audiences. Presentation skills adequate for delivering required reporting, training, and analysis from board level downwards. Self-management skills, ability to meet deadlines, initiative, and capacity for lateral thinking. Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude. Flexible team player, willing to travel nationally as required. Good IT skills, with proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; capable of producing reports. Willingness to work as needed to meet required objectives in accordance with regulatory and corporate deadlines An internal audit qualification is desirable. Position Overview To carry out a variety of tasks in relation to bulk manufacture, weighing, quality, materials handling, safety, administration and housekeeping. Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities Weighing Duties: Collection of raw materials from storage and return of part pallets to correct storage location. Ensure strict adherence to Good Pre-weigh Practice. Ensure continuous replenishment of certain storage locations (e.g. fast moving materials, hot room). Transfer of pre-weighed raw materials to correct storage location. Undertaking of daily cycle counts, annual stock check and other stock control checks as required. Identification and rectification of stock anomalies as required. Accurate weighing and labelling of raw materials in accordance with established procedures. Manufacturing Duties: Collection of pre-weighed raw materials from appropriate location. Reconciliation of batch prior to start of manufacture. Manufacture of product in accordance with appropriate method. Management of manufacturing skid and associated equipment effectively. Transfer of products into appropriate storage vessels. Quality sampling and testing of batch. Ensure compliance with correct manufacturing method for formula and batch size. Work continuously towards improvements in line efficiency. Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice. Perform administrative tasks including completion of all required documentation. Follow manufacturing plans. Conduct daily stock check of manufactured liquids on site. General Duties Raw material and liquid sampling for Labs when requested. Use a variety of transportation to ensure the safe handling of necessary materials. Use computer systems and main stock accuracy. Minor maintenance tasks within capability of job holder. To give assistance within the Factory where skills and experience are appropriate when requested by management, particularly regarding the handling of raw materials and liquids on site. To work as part of a team and to impart expertise to others as necessary. Adhere to all Health and Safety and Quality policies/procedures. Follow all relevant housekeeping procedures to ensure that the highest level of cleanliness is maintained at all times. Qualifications and Experience - Essential RTITB Reach FLT Licence. Experience of working in a manufacturing/production environment. A good general standard of education. A good understanding of health and safety and housekeeping. A flexible attitude and willingness to work shifts. IT Literate with experience of using in-house operating systems. The hours of work are Rotational 8 hour shifts - mornings, afternoons and night shifts. £12.01 per hour plus shift allowance
