Inspector Greenwich, SE10 Ongoing long-term contract Monday - Thursday, 42.5 hours per week Day shifts and night shifts required £12.59 (Weekly Pay) We are currently recruiting Inspectors to work in a busy clean production environment on behalf of a global telecommunications company. We are seeking Inspectors with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing precision work. Inspectors play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring the safe and accurate assembly of electro-optical and mechanical units for subsea telecommunication equipment. This may include knowledge of fibre optic handling and splicing. Inspectors are assigned to various departments, with each role contributing to the creation of high-specification products, adhering to specific requirements. Collectively, they play a vital and unique role in the overall creation and assembly of our products. All work is carried out in an Electrostatic Protected Area. Prior experience in similar Inspection or Quality Control is required. Inspector's duties may include, but are not limited to: Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment. Inspection & Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of electro, optical, and mechanical units to ensure compliance with industry standards, specifications, and project requirements. Inspect products for quality and identify any defects, irregularities, or inconsistencies in the manufacturing process. Review & Documentation: Review engineering drawings, specifications, and other documentation to ensure alignment with manufacturing processes and quality standards. Maintain accurate records of inspection activities, including test results, deviations from specifications, and any corrective actions taken. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to resolve issues and improve processes. Provide technical guidance and support to production personnel. Communicate effectively to address quality-related concerns or requirements. Maintenance: Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements Continuous Improvement: Participate in efforts to improve efficiency, quality, and overall manufacturing processes. Identify and escalate issues with equipment or processes to ensure smooth operations and quality of the product. The positions may also involve tasks such as manual handling, lifting of heavy objects, manual dexterity, and periods of sitting or standing. Hours of Work - 42.5 p/w Manufacturing Operators may be required to work a mix of shifts, days, nights, and weekends. Night Shift - QC Operator My client is a global broadcast media distribution company, they are currently expanding their London HQ and are looking for an experience QC Operator to join their night shift team. This role is instrumental in driving optimal quality standards across the QC department. Reporting to the QC Supervisor you will be responsible for reviewing content from clients and generating log reports that can be sent directly to them. This role will command a good eye for detail, strategic thinking and provide expertise throughout the entire QC process. A strong sense of quality of ownership and a can-do approach is also required with the ability to work hard on your own initiative whilst maintaining focus to meet deadlines. Hours will be - Monday night Friday night, alternate weekly shifts of 8PM 5AM and 10PM 7AM respectively. This role will be based on site full time in Central London. Responsibilities will include: Achieve quality targets set by the Clients, platforms, broadcaster Ensure the client's work is delivered efficiently, on time and to a high standard. Be an expert for all QC workflows and technologies. Work closely with supervisors to implement procedures to effectively plan all work going through the area, giving the business a clear overview of utilization. Help maintain client relationships and client retention alongside the account management and sales team. To be considered you must have: Expert knowledge of QC workflows in the digital media supply chain industry with at least 4 years of experience in a similar role. Articulate and confident communication skills. Ability to work on multiple projects whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy. A can-do approach to all tasks set by clients, platforms, and the company. A team player mentality and be personable, professional, and calm. Experience with leading continuous improvement projects.
