An experienced social worker is required to provide a social work service to children and families arising out of the Council's duties and powers under legislation and regulations, Council and Departmental policies and procedures.
To hold a caseload, including cases in court proceedings, and undertake a range of duties and responsibilities on behalf of the Department specified in the Children's Act 2004, Every Child Matters and such other legislation as is or may be appropriate to work with children and their families.
Our Client Brent Council, is looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join their Child Protection Team.
To implement positive change in complex cases in children, families and carers lives by using systemic social work methods, models and tools, with the aims of helping them to be as independent as possible.
To also manage and minimise risks of abuse and neglect as well as meeting care needs while exercising a high quality of professional judgement.
The Social Worker will lead and oversee professional judgements in the context of the relevant legal and policy frameworks.
