Greeting drivers arriving on site to deliver or collect materials, checking their paperwork and producing accurate weighbridge tickets are all part of this busy admin job, that you will share with another part-time colleague. Other tasks will include: - Identifying the customer account and material being transported and ensuring that the correct details (for example, vehicle registration, product, haulier etc) are recorded. - Checking that that all drivers and visitors are wearing the necessary PPE. - Making sure that documentation is accurate and complies with the relevant legislation. - Keeping the weighbridge balanced and reading zero. What we're looking for in our Site Administrator (Weighbridge Operator) - Good timekeeping and attendance record. - A high level of numeracy, literacy and computer skills. - Ability to communicate well one minute you might be signing in a visitor, the next informing a driver that their vehicle is overweight. - High standards of accuracy even when busy. Produce site specific material schedules Assist the Buyer/s in the collation of documentation and issuing of material tender enquires for new sites/phases. Assist the Buyer/s in the assessment and comparison of material quotations. Process new material orders. Process site purchase orders for replacement materials and assist in production of monthly reports detailing expenditure. Work with the Buyer to research new products. Carry out the invoice checking procedure and where necessary negotiate credits. Assist the commercial team in the management of aged debt. Continually monitor material lead times, keeping build and site managers informed, instigate forward material allocation when necessary. Assist with site call-offs. Provide general assistance to the Commercial department as and when required. Assist the site teams in chasing deliveries, keeping build and site managers informed of any delays.
