We are recruiting on behalf of our client who is a social housing provider based in Northallerton and they are currently seeking a Community Safety Officer to join their team on a Temporary basis.
Job description: We are looking for an experienced Anti-Social Behaviour Officer to join one of our distinguished clients in North Yorkshire for a 3-month period with a strong possibility of an extension.
Duties
Take responsibility for the coordination, control, and organisation of an effective and efficient response to ASB in line with policies and procedures.
To work with the Housing Team, Contact Centre and other departments to ensure all reports of Anti- Social behaviour (ASB) are swiftly and effectively managed in line with policies and procedures; and lead on managing all anti-social behaviour cases that require formal action.
HMPPS (HM Prison and Probation Service) is the MOJ (Ministry of Justice) agency that carries out sentences given by the courts, rehabilitating people in their care through education and employment.
Hays are the sole agency supplier to the HM Prison Service for the provision of maintenance trades and support staff.
Ideally have experience of working in a fast paced Environmental Protection Team.
Must demonstrate: Experience in an enforcement role relevant to the functions of the Residential team (Environmental Protection); Good oral and written communication skills; Ability to manage time effectively; Ability to work with team members to achieve results; Ability to identify problems, analyse information and use judgement to reach informed decisions; Ability to understand and meet the needs of customers; Experience of carrying out legal investigations, compiling legal cases and giving evidence in court; Experience of implementing enforcement policies and procedures; Experience of recording, collating and reporting information for various audiences; Experience in use of specialist environmental health software; able to work in a team or independently with minimal supervision.
This role requires regular day time and evening working and the possibility of some weekend working.
