Role: They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Working Foreman with a background in residential construction to oversee and manage residential extensions and refurbishments based in London. The ideal candidate will be a qualified carpenter with at least 5 years carpentry experience and 2 years as a either a site manager or working foreman. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, good communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes. This role requires a hands-on approach, as the Working Foreman will be responsible for coordinating and supervising on-site activities and managing team deliverables on a daily and weekly basis, while ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards. Responsibilities: Whilst working on site, supervise and coordinate the activities of other team members. Assign tasks and provide clear instructions to team members. Ensure that work is being performed according to project specifications and timelines. Monitor progress and quality of work, making adjustments as necessary. Train new workers on job site procedures and safety protocols. Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce safety regulations. Identify and address any issues or obstacles that may affect project progress and communicate them to management. Perform hands-on work alongside the team. Requirements: Proven experience as a Working Foreman or similar role in the construction industry. Knowledge of construction and related industries. Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of construction processes, tools, and equipment.
