Central Bedfordshire Council are seeking experienced IT Project Managers to support our key projects and work streams, on both 12 and 24 month fixed term contract basis. This hybrid role involves working from home and any CBC offices, including Priory House, Shefford. Experience: You will be a qualified Project Manager, who is experienced in delivering high quality results leading multiple technology/IT projects, working with a variety of stakeholders to manage the delivery, which includes risk and issue management, budgetary controls, organisational and time management skills, along with excellent communication to all relevant parties. Responsibilities: Provide proactive leadership and full participation throughout the project lifecycle, adhering to formal project management approaches used by the team, to meet the demands of each specific project and ensure projects are delivered on time, to specification, within budget and provide the anticipated benefits. It is important that you are used to building trusted and valued relationships with key stakeholders and stakeholder groups - using appropriate stakeholder management techniques and communication methods to ensure effective engagement throughout the project, from initiation to project closure and realisation of benefits. Working alongside our IT team to deliver an ambitious programme of work, adding your project management expertise to gather requirements, plan and schedule the project phases, deliver meaningful progress reports and stakeholder engagement. Managing a diverse team that may include third parties and suppliers. As a member of the Defence Vehicles team you will be responsible for project management and leadership support to the Defence Programmes Team who are responsible for validating, testing and support military vehicles for the MoD and OE manufacturers.
