Salary: up to £50,000 Hours: Mon Fri Days (6-2) / Afters (2-10) Reporting to the Factory Manager the Production Shift Manager will be responsible for managing their shift, whilst ensuring products meet the highest specifications in line with customer requirements, budgeted targets and company policy. Duties of the Production Shift Manager include: Responsible for managing all aspects of the high-risk manufacturing operation Manage resource and identify recruitment and training needs within agreed budgets Effectively motivate and develop a strong production team Responsible for all 1st line management, including absence & performance management Ensure output is achieved precisely, economically and to agreed quality standards Develop manufacturing process through the delivery of cost savings, efficiency & quality Proactively recognise weak spots and opportunities for process improvement within the production environment Ensure an exceptional level of internal/external customer service through on-time deliveries and minimal customer returns Routinely checking all aspects of the product process and documentation including and non conformance To be successful in the Production Shift Manager role you would need to have a strong track record in managing large multi functional production teams and the following skills/experience: Strong background of target delivery within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment Experience with managing large teams (200 people), including agency staff at peak periods Excellent communication skills Highly organised with the ability to prioritise jobflow Data driven analytical skills with a track record of delivering projects to improve efficiencies, implement cost savings and reduce waste HACCP or relevant Food Safety Certificate is desirable If this Production Shift Manager role is of interest, please contact Anna Morgan or Emma Bartholomew.

Working in a state-of-the-art factory, with future investment planned on automation projects, you will be responsible for ensuring your shift runs smoothly, maintaining a high output whilst ensuring quality and safety levels are met. £40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience, life assurance, pension, discount scheme, etc. Reporting into the Manufacturing Manager, your duties as Shift Production Manager will include - Taking ownership for rolling out operational strategies, driving improvements through the business and identifying operational opportunities that will enhance production Supporting Team Leaders to execute efficient production plans, whilst monitoring KPIs and performance in the department. Management of a team of around 20-25 staff, taking responsibility for training, development, performance management and appraisals. Taking a proactive approach with regards to H&S in the working area, ensuring your team takes pride in their role and in their working environment, and that that legal requirements and company policies are adhered to. To be successful in the role of Shift Production Manager, the ideal candidate will - Have supervision / management experience within a manufacturing environment utilising lean manufacturing principles to drive performance improvements. Have strong people and performance management skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues. Have a proven ability to lead and motivate a team to succeed through coaching and development of skills, knowledge and attitude, and defining responsibilities to give a clear sense of direction. Have a flexible approach, with resilience and adaptability to change. Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills (data driven) and able to establish logical, practical solutions.
