As the Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of excavation works on-site. This hands-on role requires proactive management, coaching, and mentoring of supervisors. With a focus on achieving timely completion, you'll coordinate weekend work and ensure adequate coverage. Utilities Project Manager - Position Overview Coordinate contractor resources, equipment, and permits for project execution. Daily liaison with Operations Director, WPD Contracts manager, and stakeholders. Address customer complaints according to contract and company protocols. Plan and manage safety audits and ensure compliance with RAMs. Monitor and manage effective reinstatement processes for assigned jobs. Assess upcoming works for traffic management needs and ensure supervision. Review and approve weekly timesheets and collate vehicle/plant paperwork. Attend to discovery of damage and conduct final inspections for defects on works over 100m. Utilities Project Manager - Position Requirements Experience of managing short term civils projects of this nature and supervising civil teams Previous Experience of working as Utilities Site Supervisor or Site manager on an electric contract NRSWA street works qualification - preferably at supervisory level as well as a SMSTS certification. General Civil engineering knowledge Reading & understanding of utility plans and construction drawings. Dealing directly with clients. Awareness of clients and customer expectations. Full understanding of NRSWA compliance to facilitate completion of works on Highway. Working to deadlines.
