Adecco Newbury are seeking Packing Operators/Visual Inspectors to join a client in Swindon (SN3) as soon as possible for 12 weeks (this could be extended). You must be flexible on shifts and the shifts are 7am - 3pm and 3pm - 11pm, Monday to Friday. £12.60 per hour, overtime may be available. You will need relevant experience on your CV. Duties: To set up, clean and operate the production lines To carry out visual inspection of manufactured products Completion of BMRs Cleaning of area/equipment Monitoring equipment status and reporting any faults or issues to Supervision Ensure work and documentation is completed in accordance with cGMP, Standard Operating Procedures, and other regulatory agency requirements Comply with cGMP requirements and company rules, policies, and procedures Maintenance of competency (suitably qualified and experienced) Always maintain a high level of tidiness and cleanliness - personal Contribute towards continuous improvement initiatives Maintain a vision test for manual inspection of products and fully trained to perform manual/semi-automated, visual inspection Support project validation work Set equipment to ensure minimum downtime levels, minimum product damage/waste Operation of airlocks and cleaning systems Assist where appropriate in basic equipment maintenance You must have: Experience of working in a pharmaceutical - Desirable Experience of clean room working, an understanding of aseptic manufacturing and filling - Desirable Good communication skills Passionate about quality and customer service Good team player, organised, accurate and strong documentation skills Participate in continuous process improvement Has a natural ability to work methodically Has good eyesight and is not colour blind Patience to inspect products to a consistently high level GCSE level Maths and English (or equivalent)Able to handle material up to 5kg with reasonable adjustments if required. Reports to Head of Operations Job Purpose The Operations Officer is responsible for tender management, supplier engagement, member liaison and associated tasks. Role The Operations Team provides procurement solutions to our members by conducting tenders on their behalf. As one of a number of Operations Officers on the team, you will run tenders for our members (public sector organisations, largely local authorities and housing associations), matching them up with pre-approved suppliers. Attention to detail is critical as is the ability to work at pace on multiple projects at one time. You will be the dedicated point of contact for your allocated members and expected to provide excellent customer service. Main duties and responsibilities - Create, monitor and manage tenders - Laise with member organisations re: new and live tenders - Respond to supplier queries relating to live tenders - Support new suppliers through the application process - Administer new supplier on-boarding - Brief new suppliers on Westworks processes and ways of working - Advise members on appropriate procurement approaches, based on their individual requirements - Advise members on the preparation of tender documentation, tender evaluations and scheduling of tender activity Skills and attributes - Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines - Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently - Effective written and verbal communication skills - Ability to liaise with different departments and external stakeholders - Quick thinking with good problem-solving skills, to address day to day challenges - Good customer service skills, for handling enquiries or issues - Ability to work well within a team and support team goals Knowledge and experience - Proficient in Microsoft Office software (essential) - Familiarity with CRM systems for managing customer-related information (desirable) - Customer service experience (desirable) It's essential for the Operations Officer to be confident, versatile and adaptable. No two tenders are the same and you will be dealing with multiple stakeholders across a range of projects. Being able to learn quickly and communicate effectively are key attributes for this role. Previous procurement or public sector experience is not required. We are looking to recruit a committed, capable individual into our team who can quickly assimilate our ways of working and confidently lead their own tenders.
