Our client requires an SC Security Cleared and experienced Product Owner / Product Manager who will use their knowledge of of user needs and business goals to frame and solve problems and set priorities for delivery teams. You will be responsible for the overall vision and quality of the product being delivered (sometimes in conjunction with a Senior or Lead Product Manager). You will identify opportunities for improving business outcomes and enhancing benefits, looking to continuously improve the quality, capability and efficiency of your product. You will have the final say on quality and whether something is ready to be released into production. In addition, you will build a shared understanding between the development team, stakeholders and end users about what your product does and how it achieves the outcomes it needs to achieve. The role is deemed inside IR35 and will work in a hybrid manor. Main tasks: forming the vision for the product and engage teams and stakeholders in the development of that vision over time producing roadmaps, release plans and lifecycle plans for the delivery and maintenance of the product from its inception right through to its retirement taking a product through its lifecycle (e.g. discovery, alpha, beta, live) including service assessments representing users throughout the delivery process and using their feedback to inform continuous improvement prioritising the work that needs to be done by the software development team by creating and maintaining a product backlog which balances immediate user needs with the long-term investment in development and overall business benefits providing final sign off on any completed functional development prior to deployment of code to the production environment using product or service usage data to devise new ideas for functionality or new ways of working with a continuous improvement mindset Essential skills You'll have a demonstrable passion for Product with the following skills or some experience in: working in the delivery of technology or digital based projects decision-making skills, with an ability to digest information from a multitude of sources and use that to develop a prioritised plan of action strategic thinking skills with the ability to focus on outcomes rather than solutions and the ability to translate a vision into deliverable goals communicating using a variety of methods (written reports, verbal feedback, presentations etc.), applying the appropriate method to each scenario/audience, which at this level, will usually be on a one to one basis promoting the needs of the team, and of the product; understanding how these will vary depending on the different phases of a product lifecycle Experience in one or more of the following based on multiple contract roles being available, Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure etc.) Security or Networking Tech,

Essential skills: Extensive experience in product management, with a strong preference for expertise in cloud security or related fields. Capable of working with both SAFe Agile or Waterfall Delivery Methodologies. SAFe Agile for platform delivery and Waterfall for reporting to senior management. Requires a broad technical IT delivery background, including involvement in migration activities or the development of new products, including proof of concept. Recognising patterns and trends, identifying and resolving problems. Experience in technology-based project delivery. Proficiency in budgeting and financial control, as well as commercial awareness. Effective communication skills across various mediums (written reports, verbal feedback, presentations, etc.), applying the appropriate method to each scenario/audience, typically large groups at this level. Leadership in advocating for the needs of the team and the product, understanding how these may vary throughout the different phases of a product lifecycle.
