Senior Process Engineer Job Type: Permanent, full time Hours: 7:30-16:00 Monday to Thursday, 12:00 finish on a Friday Salary: £43,000 - £45,000 Our client is looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join them in Stevenage to review all current manufacturing processes and identify any areas of development. This role requires someone who is highly analytical and experienced in identifying processes to imrpove, within an electronics manufacturing environment. Benefits: 12:00 finish every Friday Parking onsite Free car parking Reward Scheme Opticians vouchers Access to online Doctor Responsibilities for Senior Process Engineer: Plan, compile and execute validation strategies (including documentation, reports, etc.) to confirm suitability for use, and fit and function' of process outputs Support Development SOP's Wi's and Procedures as required Continually review all manufacturing processes to document, measure, refine and improve process capability and effectiveness Identify and deliver continuous improvement programs to deliver costs savings and quality improvements in line with overall manufacturing objectives Liaise with all relevant departments on the transfer of new products into manufacturing and ensure that suitable manufacturing processes are in place Recommend and coordinate process improvement activities with the Operations groups Liaise with engineering and customers to offer design changes that would improve manufacturing efficiency and quality Ensure that appropriate test and validation is performed on materials and processes employed in the manufacture of products Identify cost savings opportunities in materials and processes; plan and perform testing to validate changes that capitalise on these opportunities; document and release these changes Support and execute specific capital investment programs for manufacturing equipment as and when required Participate in Quality audits of manufacturing; ensure appropriate action is taken in response to audit findings Support the QUALITY group in development and maintenance of a Quality System structure in line with EN 9100:2018 (AS9100) Rev D Accreditation to ensure manufacturing compliance to applicable regulatory laws and requirements Requirements for Senior Process Engineer: Engineering Qualification Strong computer skills Electronics Manufacturing industry knowledge Knowledge or experience of CAD is desirable Significant experience of implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques/principles Demonstrable experience of working with EN 9100:2018 (AS9100) Ability to communicate at all levels with various stakeholders Interviews being held immediately If you are interested in this position, please apply direct with your CV. Responsibilities: The manufacturing Technician will typically be capable of certifying the product and possess a versatile skill base, with a capability to apply their skills across a range of tasks utilising equipment and tools, gauges and measuring instruments associated with the production, repair and modification of company products to meet defined build standards and specification requirements. Certify the product in line with the product certification procedure. Maintain product certification and approval via regular audits. Possess a versatile skill base with the capability to apply these skills across a range of tasks. Be fully conversant with all equipment, tools and measuring instruments associated with the manufacturing cycle. Ensure manufacturing build, inspection and where relevant, test times are met. Check and complete all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data pack. Maintain to the highest level, workmanship standards and product quality. Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process. Maintain a safe working environment. Maintain a good housekeeping policy. Communicate best practice to other team members. Skillset/experience required: Formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21. Formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent certificate. Experience as a skilled person. The successful candidate should be a team player who is able to demonstrate customer focus. They should also have proven planning and organising skills and be flexible and adaptable.
