Job Responsibilities: Utilise stock management systems, such as SAP, to maintain accurate stock control. Receive, despatch, inspect, and issue materials with utmost care and accuracy. Update order/materials databases to ensure seamless workflow. Assist technical staff in identifying materials and raising order requests. Assemble and pack materials/goods according to logistical demands. Safely load and unload trucks while following manual guidelines. Conduct checks on handling equipment and take corrective action when necessary. Ensure the safe and proper storage of goods, conducting regular checks for optimal conditions. Arrange transportation through authorised accounts for material movement. Establish strong relationships with customers to foster future business opportunities. Implement and adhere to health, safety, quality, and compliance policies. ?? Required Skills: Previous warehouse and/or logistical experience. Forklift licence (Reach/counterbalance) is beneficial, but previous experience with in-house training will also be considered. Strong written and oral communication skills. Good computer literacy and familiarity with stock management systems. Excellent organisational and time management skills. ? We have a great opportunity at Crawley Sewage Treatment Works for a Thermal Hydrolysis Process Technician. As the THP technician, you will be responsible for monitoring, inspecting and maintaining equipment, and reporting any defective items to ensure a swift repair or attempting a first-time fix yourself where possible. You will work closely with other site teams to ensure the smooth running and production of a good quality biosolids product which is used to generate green energy and is then recycled back to land. What you'll be doing as a THP Technician The operation of sludge digesters, boilers, high-pressure/temperature reactors, power generation plants and equipment. Sampling, testing basic maintenance and fault-finding of the plant and equipment. Gathering performance data to ensure the plant operates efficiently and that statutory and regulatory compliance is met. Undertaking safety and security checks and housekeeping. Close communication and liaison with the wider site team. Base Location: Crawley STW RH10 3NW Working Pattern 38 Hours plus the inclusion on a standby rota for which you will receive additional payment. What you should bring to the role Be able to demonstrate confidence, flexibility, initiative, problem-solving skills, ability to work with your hands and a willingness to learn. If you can already demonstrate knowledge and/or experience of working with boilers and energy generation plants, or process equipment, such as pumps and gearboxes, that would be beneficial. As well as this, you must be prepared to be trained in safety procedures including confined space entry and boiler operation accreditation. You must have basic literacy and numeracy skills, and some computer data input or enquiry experience is desirable, but not essential, as well as the completion of NVQ level 2 units as a minimum (or equivalent).
