Butler Rose is working alongside one of our leading large manufacturing clients based in Stevenage who have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement Subcontract Specialist to join their Information Management procurement team.
This is a hybrid role and will be paying salary up to £47,500 depending on experience.
You will be required to travel to their suppliers in the UK, Europe and potentially internationally.
The Senior Procurement Officer will manage mature series production supplier subcontracts and you will undertake activities such as ensuring supplier delivery in line with contract obligations to support both Domestic and Export Customers, negotiating value for money future pricing arrangements, bidding for new business and placing subsequent subcontracts, managing supplier obsolescence issues and deploying mitigation strategies.

The role of the purchasing administrator is to procure, manage and develop the product range for the business and to carry out all administrative tasks relating to the purchasing department.
Effective communication, excellent organisational and numerical skills are essential to staying well informed of product development and price changes.
Key Responsibilities of a Purchasing Administrator
The Procurement Manager will proactively engage with the business to understand and support their strategy through the sourcing and management of third-party suppliers to extract maximum value, bring innovation and mitigate supplier risk for new and existing contracts and relationships.
The Procurement Manager will need to be able to identify and then lead commercial negotiations with third parties and drive a culture of competitiveness and effective risk management becoming a trusted advisor to the business.
The role will support Canada Life Business Leaders, Contract business owners for key contracts and sourcing events.
