This large organisation is responsible for managing a vast network of healthcare properties. Think of it as the unseen force behind the scenes, ensuring these locations are well-maintained and function smoothly for healthcare providers. They focus on providing the best possible physical environment for patient care. You must have previous construction procurement experience within the public sector. This role can be either hybrid or fully remote. The location is flexible, as they have several offices across the country. The package on offer is between £63,500 - £68,500 per year. Your Key Responsibilities: Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and manage procurement activity Act as a trusted advisor by supporting business strategy and projects and providing market intelligence for business cases Ensure successful contract implementation through transitioning procured contracts and mitigating risks and costs Develop and execute procurement strategies for assigned areas, including identifying new sourcing opportunities and managing supplier relationships Lead negotiations to support project delivery Be a Subject Matter Expert in Construction & Capital Projects procurement, contracts (JCT, NEC), Town Planning, and Property Development Manage supplier performance and ensure compliance with contracts and service level agreements Serve as the primary point of contact for procurement inquiries, initiatives, and day-to-day support Plan and execute procurement activities to achieve best value while balancing risks Drive continuous improvement through best practices, benchmarking, and identifying cost-saving opportunities Manage the demand pipeline and contracts database Prepare and manage complex tenders and contracts Analyse results, investigate variances and implement solutions Challenge internal stakeholder requirements to ensure solutions meet business needs Support business case development with procurement data Strong stakeholder management skills to position procurement as a collaborative force driving positive change Develop junior team members both directly and indirectly Manage a team of 2.
