Here at Hays, we are currently recruiting for an Indirect Procurement Advisor to support a client based in East Leeds. This is a permanent opportunity, paying up to £30,000 per annum. This role is hybrid working with 2 days in office in Leeds. This is a great development opportunity, where you will sit within the company's central Corporate Procurement Team. This role is supporting Category Managers who are responsible for managing small/medium portfolio of contracts, you will be supporting a highly established team within the indirect procurement markets. The right candidate for this role will be highly organised, with the ability to prioritise different projects and have a keen eye for detail. You will be taking full ownership of tasks and ensure all procurement activities are following company policies and working procedures. Your key responsibilities: Receiving and evaluating bids and Preparing purchasing recommendations Review contractual terms and consult with category managers/procurement managers/legal if required. Initiate, issue, and administering purchase orders and contracts through predetermined procedures. Ensuring compliance with procurement requirements, policies, and procedures. Understand, implement, and comply with the company policies and ensure the same within the supplier base and implement corrective actions when appropriate. Collaboration with internal/external stakeholders to meet current needs and explore opportunities for mutual benefit and other potential innovation. Develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders that provides a stable foundation for future business opportunities. Experience/Skills required: 2 years of experience in a procurement role (ideally indirect) Demonstrated ability in standard procurement procedures and practices. Ability to work independently. Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), VMS systems (SAP Ariba) and Service Now Comprehension of contractual terms and conditions in conjunction with established procurement policies. Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload and multi-task. CIPS Level 4 (or studying towards) This role will offer a great development opportunity, with the company looking to actively develop and support the right candidate through their CIPS qualification.
