To undertake the full range of offender management tasks with offenders assessed as low or medium risk of harm and to support the Probation Officer grade in high risk cases.
General
Candidates should ideally have worked as a PSO previously, however candidates with transferable skills that have worked with offenders previously will also be considered for the role.
This role will be allow hybrid working for the successful candidate, 3 days in the office and 2 from home.
Must be a qualified probation officer ideally candidate has some experience of working with adolescents candidates who have been involved in managing transitions from youth justice to probation would be desirable.
I am currently recruiting for a youth justice probation officer to work in Bexley.
Candidates will be working 3 days per week (21 hours) with the council, potential work directly with probation may happen for the other 2 days.
You'll prepare relevant legal paperwork for cases including injunctions, possession, and access, as well as represent the organisation at court hearings where required.You'll work closely with witnesses, victims, and perpetrators of ASB, drafting statements & collecting evidence should legal action be required, and work in partnership with various stakeholders such as the Police, Social Services, and the Local Authority to improve neighbourhoods in the area.
Your new company
You will be responsible for actively managing a caseload of ASB & tenancy fraud matters, investigating, and taking appropriate action against perpetrators.
