Factory/Shop Floor Supervisor - Temp to perm - Maldon - £13.50 per hour We are looking for an experienced Shop Floor Supervisor to join our local client on a temporary to permanent basis with a long term goal of progressing within the business, moving into Production Control and working towards becoming a Production Manager in the future. This role will require the successful applicant to manage a team of 18 people on a daily basis, manage their workloads, the equipment on the shop floor and work with the team to deliver productivity and output targets whilst developing excellent working relationships with the team throughout the business. We are looking for applicants who have previous experience in a similar role, who are production oriented and excel when working to deadlines and business targets. Duties: Maintain a safe working environment: monitoring housekeeping, practices, and equipment. Ensure team members wear the correct PPE at all times. Identify potential process improvements within the area and work with Senior Management to implement changes within the facility. Organise the daily workload of the team to ensure that targets are complete and the area is run efficiently e.g. machines are optimised and are run at correct running speeds, issuing jobs daily to the team. Managing any staffing issues, managing and maintaining staff absence and tracker. Aim to reduce internal wastage. Monitor and maintain consumable and tooling stock levels and ensure timely completion of stock takes. Identify training opportunities and requirements for the team and ensure that this is addressed. Having a hands on approach to daily tasks, leading from the front to ensure work is completed to a high standard and meets client demand.
