Principle Engineer - required to work in Leeds. My client is a large Civil Engineering Sub Contractor who specialise within RC Frames and Tunnelling with a £114 Million turnover. The Principle Civil Engineer will be working on projects within the tunnelling industry as well as above ground structures. The most successful Principle Civil Engineer will be degree educated BEng or MEng level in Civil and/or Structural Engineering with a minimum of 10 years' experience capable of producing designs and checking of others. The Principle Civil Engineer will have expertise in underground structures / tunnelling temporary works as well as Network Rail CRE experience. Principal Structural and Geotechnical Engineer Position Overview Provide technical support to the sectors of the business, including the above ground structures and tunnelling Support f tendering developing construction methodology, Lead the projects through the preconstruction design phase producing designs, as well as provide technical support through the construction phase supporting the site teams. Projects include, Shaft design, Tunnel designs for Timber Headings, Microtunnelling / Pipejacking, Excavation Stability and support Earth work stability slope stability analysis Ground settlement analysis, from tunnelling and excavations Liaise with external consultants Principal Structural and Geotechnical Engineer Position Requirements BEng or MEng level in Civil and/or Structural Engineering Working towards chartership, such as the ICE or IStructE 10 years' experience with expertise in underground structures / tunnelling temporary works Design consultancy environment. Technical skill with accomplished structural design skills and geotechnical knowledge Ability to help support, mentor and develop junior engineers within the team Sound knowledge with CDM H&S regulations. We're currently seeking a talented Principle Structural Engineer to join our client's team at Stockton on Tees. This full-time hybrid role offers the flexibility of some remote work. Key Responsibilities The Principle Structural Engineer will be working on capital national infrastructure energy projects and will be responsible for the efficient and compliant delivery of all structural engineering design on the project, working with and reporting to the Lead Project Manager and Lead Engineer. The Principle Structural Engineer would lead the technical design delivery of the structural engineering team, and work in conjunction to the project Civil, MEP and Geotechnical Professional Engineers of grades from Graduate to Principal Engineer and the associated Senior to Junior BIM REVIT Technicians. The Principle Structural Engineer will coordinate and interface with the Lead Engineers and Architects of other design disciplines. The Principle Structural Engineer will report to the Structural Associate on the project, who will work closely with the Principal Structural Engineer to ensure that the Company complies with the client's technical project requirements, leading day to day client liaisons in relation to day-to-day structural engineering issues and with have design responsibility for all structural design works on the project. They will also be responsible for assisting the Associate in administering the structural design aspects of the contract and undertaking advise the Associate in terms financial management of the project relating to the structural team costs and performance, including dealing with continuous improvement and corrective actions as required. The Principal Engineer will generally be responsible for day-to-day management/support and mentoring of the technical structural engineering staff on the project and will be work under the direction and support of the Lead Project Engineer and Project Manager. The Principle Structural Engineer will be responsible for the checking and review aspects of all structural engineering work in accordance with Business Management Systems/protocols and Structural Technical Reference Manuals, delegating to Senior Structural Engineers as required. Qualifications Will normally be a 'Chartered Engineer', and able to demonstrate relevant post qualification experience through a range of projects
