Process Design Engineer Are you a process design engineer with Auto CAD experience ? Are you a Chemical Design Engineer? Do you have experience with, and understanding of, processing equipment; experience specific to the dairy, food and/or beverage industry? If so, read on... We are looking for a Process design Engineer to join our clients team Hybrid working 2 days office 3 days at home £30k-£40k Duties Ensure customers needs are met through a detailed understanding of their requirements and develop industry leading process designs to suit. You will have knowledge of the processes involved in manufacturing various food/drink products and be able to confidently talk with customers about their requirements. You will assist the sales team through the generation of process flow diagrams and P&IDs. You will also assist with design developments and changes on live projects, whilst working alongside the mechanical design and project delivery teams. Designs will be completed with sustainability and energy efficiency at the forefront of your mind, whilst ensuring compliance with the latest industry codes of practice. Accountabilities Generate process flow diagrams and P&IDs using AutoCAD/Autodesk software. Create specifications for key components such as valves, pumps and heat exchangers in the form of a component schedule. Generate process descriptions detailing how the process equipment is designed to function. This will be used to form the proposal presented to the customer and used in the software package development. Develop user requirement specification (URS) with technical sales team and customers. Review and approve functional design specification (FDS) provided from automation engineers to ensure correct functionality of the process. Work in collaboration with the mechanical design team to ensure process specific requirements are captured within the design development of equipment. Interpret customer design requirements, tackle engineering problems arising from designs ensuring solutions are implemented. Assist technically with quotation content. Lead design reviews and discussions with customers. Liaise with members of staff, customers and suppliers as required. Mentor and assist in the development of junior members of the design team. Develop and further extend proficient computer and application skills to include technical knowledge of computed assisted design (CAD) software. Support commissioning activities ensuring technical expertise is available, and on-site if most appropriate, during the commissioning phases of projects. Ensure that all testing and subsequent data from tests on designs are suitable for the application and correctly recorded. Assist when required with marketing drives and the creation of technical marketing material. Person Specification Overview of required qualifications, knowledge, experience, skills and attributes. Essential: Formal qualification in chemical engineering, HND/HNC minimum; other engineering disciplines, e.g. mechanical engineering, systems engineering would be considered Proficient in the use of 2D AutoCAD package such as AutoCAD Mechanical Experience with, and understanding of, processing equipment; experience specific to the dairy, food and/or beverage industries would be beneficial Willing to travel and attend customer sites to suit business needs A good knowledge of material properties Innovative problem solving skills, creativity, proficiency, and an ability to work in a team Excellent communication and people skills Good planning, administrative and organisational skills Ability to manage several tasks and people concurrently and meet deadlines Be hard working and conscientious Ability to work calmly under pressure Excellent attention to detail Good ICT skills, including use of MS package Understanding of relevant health and safety legislation Hold a valid driving licence Desirable: Autodesk Plant 3D software experience Previous experience of working within food, drink and allied sectors Willingness to continue personal development Monday to Thursday 8 am to 5 pm. 12.45 Finish on a Friday. 37.5 hours Bonus Free Parking Staff socials 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays Increased pension contributions Team events every quarter Additional holiday for long service

We currently work on a 2 week rota and the pharmacist is expected to work every other weekend. The pharmacist would work opposite my current full time pharmacist and be covering there days off, which currently are Mon & Sat week 1 and Sun & fri week 2. We are a pharmacy with a newish dispensing team who deliver on average 1300 items a week although we are in growth again this year.
