To contribute to planning and support delivery of a high quality early years curriculum, which includes a full commitment to anti-discriminatory practice.
This will include daily, weekly and termly planning to meet individual children's needs and interests and record keeping that tracks the development of the individual child.
Provide professional supervision of other Social Workers, supporting caseload management and promoting reflective practice and continuous professional development.
Manage social work caseload of more complex nature and with high levels of autonomy.
Provide expert professional and technical advice on Children in Need to other Social Workers, managers, colleagues, and partners.
The Social Worker will provide a high-quality service in relation to all aspects of the assessment and care management process which meet the needs of vulnerable adults with Learning Disabilities.
To take responsibility for all the functions of the post within the boundaries of delegated responsibility.
To perform all the functions of the post in a manner consistent with Learning Disability legislation and with current Social Services policies, standards and procedures as endorsed by the Senior Management Team.
Role Purpose: To provide a social work service to disabled children, young people & families arising out of the Council's duties and powers under legislation and regulations, Council and Departmental policies and procedures.
To hold a complex caseload, including cases in court proceedings, and undertake a range of duties and responsibilities on behalf of the Department specified in the Children's Act 2004, Every Child Matters, Care Act for over 18s and such other legislation as is or may be appropriate to work with children, young people and their families.
