We're recruiting for a General Accounts Manager to join a highly reputable, and fantastic quality firm of chartered accountants, based in Redhill, Surrey. You will be joining a fast growing and successful top 10 practice, where you will work in a general practice capacity within the accounts & audit team. This position is being recruited as a consequence of growth and presents an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to progress in their career. You will be offered exposure to complex, high value work, dealing with prestigious national and international clients. You will be given lots of autonomy, where you will have direct client contact and have the opportunity to oversee a small team too. Your responsibilities will include: The role of a Manager in Redhill offers excellent opportunities to work on a broad range of projects and clients. The right candidate can expect to spend around 60% of their working time working closely with the partners and more junior members of the team to deliver statutory audits to the firms clients. The role also offers a wider variety in responsibilities than many of our competitors, with 30% of the role relating to accounts work and 10% relating to advisory work. The candidate will get full exposure to client facing communication as they will be the first port of call for our clients in most cases. The candidate would also be expected to play an important role in the development of their peers and more junior colleagues on a day to day basis, both technically and professionally. The candidate would be expected to manage the delivery of work and advice to the partner for approval and this consists of a good balance between working with more junior resource in the team and reviewing their output, and also being responsible for the preparation and delivery of ad-hoc advice direct to the partners. Requirements Skills and Experience: Relevant Accounting Qualification such as ACA or ACCA or international equivalent. 3 years PQE Commercially aware and able to apply and communicate technical knowledge in a clear way.
