A highly successful multinational technology business is searching for an IBM Power Systems Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. The business encourages flexibility, so you can work remotely for this position. This role will fill a key position in managing the IBM Power environment and monitoring hardware, network, and software issues. You will create and configure lpars and Power servers whilst supporting regular patching, upgrades and storage management. This role will be responsible for supporting Power 10, 9 and 8 systems for developers so the successful candidate will be passionate about best practice within the IBM Power environment and driven to expand their knowledge. In order to be considered for this position you must be an experienced IT professional with proven experience of Power infrastructure such as IBM i lpars, Linux lpars, AIX lpars, HMC and/or VIOS. You will be an accomplished Engineer with a good knowledge of SANs, capacity planning and database technology. Experience with Windows, Linux and DB2 would be advantageous to your application.
