An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Highly Specialist Physiotherapist (Band 7) - Fixed Term Contract November 2026 to join our Rehabilitation services team.
All interventions will be goal focused, evidence-based, and child and family centred.
This role is to provide high quality, evidence-based assessment and intervention to children and young people with neurodisabilities, neurodevelopmental and orthopaedic conditions and respiratory needs.
To support, develop and enable service users towards participation in community life, personal independence, and normal social functioning, consistent with their abilities and preferences.
To be responsible for all administration, the management of finances and stock control, the maintenance of hygiene and Health and Safety standards as laid down and the care and maintenance of the building/s and equipment.
To lead and support service managers, deputy managers and senior staff to allocate and monitor services to individual service users, in accordance with care and support plans agreed by the Commissioning Teams.
Funding for this role has been secured until 31 March 2026.
You will ensure that organisational changes are implemented successfully by keeping all key stakeholders informed, engaged and aligned with the new direction, ensuring a smooth and successful transition.

To fulfil the statutory role of Personal Adviser and deliver the range of legal duties outlined in the Children Act 1989 to young people aged 16 to 25 who have been looked after by the council.
This may include partnership working to prevent or reduce the risk and vulnerability factors associated with care leavers, including those who have unsettled immigration status.
To hold a caseload of young people and advise, assist and support them to achieve positive outcomes as outlined in their Pathway Plan, ensuring the council remains in contact with them and enables them to make a positive transition to independence and adulthood.
Cafcass is Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service.
Suitable candidates must have a degree in social work and at least 2-3 years post qualification experience working in a Children Team that ideally involved court work .
Cafcass Essex requires a Qualified Social Worker to join their team - Public and Private Law -work after the first hearing.
