Have you achieved as a minimum an NVQ level 2 (or similar) in Health and Social Care and like the sound of a working for a not-for-profit organisation, where flexibility is available with days and hours worked, and extensive training provided if you haven't already worked in a support work role before? Where not already attained, you will be supported to achieve a fully funded Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care. We have a comprehensive training programme that will enable you to earn while you learn. Due to the personal care nature of the role, only female applicantswill be considered for this position. Pay rate of £12.23 per hour, plus additional allowance for 3 'sleep in' shifts worked Flexibility available with days and hours worked to fit around your life Working between 30 hours and 37.5 hours per week minimum, plus an additional 3 'sleep-in' shifts over a 6 week period Overtime and relief hours available Double pay for day hours worked on a Bank Holiday DBS and training paid for by the charity Generous annual leave - 30 days per annum inclusive of public holidays Enhanced sick pay after one years' service Key Responsibilities of the Support Worker Assistant Team Leader: Work across supported living houses across the Menai Bridge area Support the Team Leader in managing a team to ensure the highest quality of care is provided Assisting the Team Leader in rota management, compliance, and appraisals Supporting the training of new colleagues and arranging shadow shifts Implementing support plans for people joining our service Updating and revising care plans and risk assessments Planning new community opportunities and activities Completing weekly and monthly audits Support the individuals, helping them shop, go on trips out, visit family, attend activities etc. We operate on a 24/7 rota and as a team we cover day, evening, weekend shifts, and sleep ins Skills & Experience Required: As a minimum, achieved an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or similar qualification Ability to work flexibly on a rota shift pattern, including 3 'sleep-in' shifts every 6 weeks A full UK driving licenceas individuals we support have mobility vehiclesyou will need to drive Passion for making a positive difference to the lives of vulnerable people Willingness to undertake all identified training Patient, and calm and confident in challenging situations Effective and clear communication skills What's Next? Duties will include allocating dedicated support time for students, creating and collating relevant PEP paperwork, leading and/or contributing to PEP meetings with wider professionals, contributing to EHC plans and creating and overseeing relevant student passports. The role will also include 1:1 and small group teaching elements work alongside class teacher and therapeutic education provision coordinator to support and secure students' successful transition into full-time education within classroom environments.
