This is not a maintenance technician role, you will be performing basic caretaker duties to generally update and improve site facilities. The role is located in the Middlesbrough / Stockton area and centres on day shift hours. THE ROLE General handyperson duties such as basic painting, plastering, plumbing and site fixings. Fixing doors. General plumbing and joinery. Repairing broken locks. Putting up signage for factory safety measures. Ensuring the up-keep and general presentation of the site to a high standard. Abiding by strict levels of H&S. THE PERSON FLT license required - Up to 2 tonne. Competent with a range of hand tools. Previous caretaker or handyperson experience is desirable but not required. All round competency based on painting, plastering, plumbing and updating fixtures and fittings. A Geo-Environmental Engineer is required to join a growing Geo-Environmental company in the North East who work with a wide range of clients nationwide comprising developers, engineers, contractors and councils. In your role as a Geo-Environmental Engineer you will be involved in all aspects of Ground Investigation on projects to contribute to issuing the final factual and interpretive reports to the client's satisfaction. This is a great opportunity to gain experience on site and in the office. THE ROLE Undertaking Preliminary Risk Assessments (Phase 1 Desk Studies) Supervising Ground Investigations for both environmental and/or geotechnical purposes. Logging of soil and bedrock to current standards. Management of projects. Supporting and co-ordinating a variety of projects. Preparing health and safety documentation. Scheduling soil and groundwater samples for laboratory testing. Gas and groundwater monitoring. Factual and Interpretative Geo-environmental reporting. THE PERSON Demonstrate internal and external communication skills. Ability to apply technical knowledge in problem solving. Good verbal and written communication skills. Good attention to detail. Use own initiative. Have a responsible attitude to work. Hold a full valid UK Driver's license.
