As a planning Officer you will be required to carry out a full range of development management functions including the assessing of all types and scale of applications.

Process and determine a caseload of all aspects of planning related applications, appeals, discharge of conditions and all other post-decision matters; undertaking all necessary site inspections; preparing reports and recommendations for applications that are to be determined under powers delegated to the Strategic Director, Head of Service and Development Management Manager and for applications to be considered and determined by the Planning Committee;.
Qualifications: Educated to Degree Level in Planning and/or Conservation or a closely related qualification.

To assist the Planning Enforcement Manager in providing advice and guidance to Development Management as required.
Assist and direct the statutory powers of enforcement and planning control, including the investigating of complaints, the monitoring of development and liaison with other Regulatory bodies.
The investigation of complaints, the accurate recording of facts and the preparation of reports concerning alleged breaches of planning control received from councillors, council officers, interest groups and members of the public.
